As cute as the smiling faces are asking the familiar
slogan: “Want to buy some Girl Scout cookies?” and as
delectable are the baked goods, due to the present
circumstances, some may feel compelled to boycott this once cherished part of Americana.
In a January 17th article printed online at LifeSiteNews
entitled, “Say no to Girl Scout cookies”, author Cathy Cleaver Ruse
relates:
…I couldn’t
support the Girl Scout cookie sale anymore because I’d learned too
much about the organizers’ agenda, primarily their support for
abortion and partnership with Planned Parenthood.
(…)
According to the
Girl Scouts’ website, the lion’s share of the money goes not to the
troop [she earlier related that they receive only 10%—Ed.]
but to bureaucrats up the chain of command in multicounty councils.
The national office gets a piece of the pie, too, in the form of
royalties based on gross annual sales volume—about 200 million boxes
per year.
(…)
Several years
ago, a quarter of the Girl Scout councils nationwide admitted to
partnering with Planned Parenthood, the nation’s abortion giant.
When questioned about the affiliation on NBC’s “Today Show,” Girl
Scout CEO Kathy Cloninger had no compunction in confirming it.
Thus it can be proven without a doubt that the national
office contributes substantial funds—from those “200 million boxes” of
cookies sold by twinkly-eyed girls across America—to Planned
Parenthood.
And it gets worse: for at least a decade (if not more), the
Girl Scouts have been steadily promoting a liberal, defeminized and
even out rightly immoral agenda, culminating in allowing
cross-dressing boys to be allowed into their ranks as also
disturbingly related by Cleaver Ruse:
Last year, the
Girl Scouts decided to admit boys who dress as girls. When asked to
admit a cross-dressing 7-year-old boy, a Colorado troop leader
demurred, explaining to his mother, with tact and irrefutable logic,
that her son couldn’t be a Girl Scout because he has “boy parts.”
The troop leader
was chastised by the mom as being insensitive and promptly was
overruled by the Girl Scout top brass, who, in a statement said, “If
a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents her as
a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout.”
So the next time your next-door Girl Scout comes and knocks
(or rings) at your door, remember that behind that innocently-misled
smile is an organization that does more than just sell cookies. |
