Three of the SSPX's five
seminaries held ceremonies this week wherein some
seminarians received the clerical habit of the cassock,
while some were tonsured and received certain minor
orders.
On February 1 at St.
Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, MN, 18 seminarians
received the cassock while another 11 received the
clerical tonsure. It was during the Pontifical Mass,
that
Bishop Fellay gave his sermon which is being much
commented upon.
On February 1 at the
Sacred Heart Seminary in Zaitzkofen, Germany, the first
of the minor orders (porter and lector) were given to
four seminarians and a Capuchin by Bishop Bernard
Tissier de Mallerais. The next day, seven seminarians
received the cassock and four others were tonsured.

On February 2 at the Holy
Cure of Ars Seminary in
Flavigny, France, 17 seminarians received the cassock
from the hands of Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta.

At Our Lady Co-Redemptrix
Seminary in La Reja, Argentina, most of the seminarians
are on vacation, except those attending the 30-day
retreat being preached by Frs. Bourmaud and Gomiz. For
the next academic year, the seminary should open its
doors in March to 9 seminarians in Humanities, 9 in the
first year of Spirituality and 2 postulants for the
brothers.
