The Sisters of the Society
of St. Pius X celebrated 30 years at St. Mary's Academy
in St. Mary's, KS. First arriving to assist with
teaching at the school in 1981, the sisters have
fulfilled an integral and important educatory role at
St. Mary's.
After a Mass offered in
thanksgiving for the anniversary, the sisters held in
the Big Gym a display of photos and an afternoon
slide-show presentation showing their history and
activities at St. Mary's and the religious life in their
congregation.
We congratulate and thank
all of the SSPX sisters who have labored at St. Mary's
Academy during the past 30 years, and thus continue the
missionary spirit of their founder, Archbishop Marcel
Lefebvre.
