I am 20 year old Aaron Ronzi, the oldest of five kids in Warren, Ohio. I go to the holy traditional Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows in Girard. I would love to go to this pilgrimage as it is a once in a lifetime thing that would be great for me because of the uncountable blessings I would receive and would greatly help my spiritual well-being. I can put $500 towards the pilgrimage but will need sponsored the rest. Whoever sponsors me will be assured my prayers and sacrifices during this pilgrimage along with a spiritual bouquet. Thank you so much for your generosity and may God bless you. Aaron Ronzi (Warren, Ohio) Needs $2,000

My name is Hannah Baer. I live in Glyndor, MN and attend Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows in Crookston, MN. I have never had the privilege of going on a pilgrimage before. I believe this experience would strengthen both my soul and my faith. I will need about $2,500-$2,950 to make this trip a reality. I would be most grateful to anyone who would help me. Be assured that my sponsors and their intentions will be in my prayers both during and after the pilgrimage. Your generosity will be rewarded. May God bless you. Sincerely in Christ, Hannah Baer (Glyndor, Minnesota) Needs $2,500-$2950

Hello! My name is Julianna Pawlowski, and I am from Our Lady of Fatima chapel in Pittsburgh, PA. In the past I had heard talk about this trip, but never imagined that I could ever be a part of it. But then Fr. Rutledge became our priest and got the youth here excited about the Youth Pilgrimage. He helped me to realize that I, too, could be in Rome next May. I am especially interested in visiting all of the magnificent Catholic churches over there! This will only be possible, though, with the help of about $2000, from a generous soul. Julianna Pawlowski (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Needs $2,000

My name is Madeleine Clemens. I am from Dane, Wisconsin and go to mass at the St. Therese Chapel in Waunakee, Wisconsin. I am asking for money, not only for my spiritual welfare, but that of my family’s as well. My grandpa has been diagnosed with stage four cancer and will die soon. He will definitely need prayers after death. My younger brother also could use many prayers as he has a terrible eye disease which could leave him blind. Your help would be greatly appreciated and I will keep you in my prayers. Madeleine Clemens (Dane, Wisconsin) Any amount

I am one of your sheep-just over there in New Zealand, I am currently tutoring part-time, teaching sewing lessons, and working as an “au pair”. I have $400 saved and set aside in a special box, only to be used for the pilgrimage. I know it’s not much, but I expect to make about $500 each month until the end of March, which is when I come home. I want to go because I believe it will help my faith to grow and I know that a pilgrimage is a special time for earning precious graces. It’s also good to meet with other Catholic youth and lastly, there are a few friends of mine (patron saints) that I hope to see over there in Europe! Mary Pawlowski (Pittsburgh, PA) Needs $500

My name is Sara Steinmetz from Browerville, MN. I attend St. John Vianney Church in Long Prairie, MN. I am a poor college student and waitress with high hopes of gaining more knowledge of enriching my life with direct contact with the history of the Church and the lives and relics of the Saints. I am in need of all the funds I am able to receive for this trip and I can guarantee that you will be in my prayers throughout this pilgrimage and in the years to come. God Bless, Sara Steinmetz (Browerville, Minnesota) Needs $2,950

My name is Stephanie Urankar. I am from Ohio and a junior in high school, attending St. Peregrine Academy and chapel. While I am truly blessed to be in a family of nine, we have many expenses; I would have to rely in large part on your generosity to attend. (I could pay for my passport and some meals, however). I am unable to find sufficient words to express how earnestly I would love to attend this pilgrimage. I would receive abundant graces from visiting magnificent Catholic landmarks, walking the penitential pilgrimage, and attending daily Mass. I would offer all for my most generous sponsors. Through this experience and pilgrimage, I hope to grow in my faith, gain a greater appreciation for it, as well as deepen my knowledge of it. Once I return, I also hope to share this knowledge with my family, teachers and friends who have sacrifices much for me. Thank you again for your consideration! In Jesus and Mary, Stephanie Urankar (Cleveland, Ohio) Needs $2,950

My name is Vincent Kirk Sebastian Baert, 19 years old, from Saint Cloud, MN and attend St. Robert Bellarmine Chapel. I want to go on this pilgrimage to ask God’s assistance to figure out my vocation in life. Taking this trip would not just gain me many graces, but also many others including my sponsors. If I am sponsored to go on this pilgrimage I will pray for them, both on the pilgrimage and after my return home. I need a total of $2,000 to be able to go on this pilgrimage. Vincent Baert (Saint Cloud, Minnesota) Needs $2,000

Dear Potential Sponsor, my name is Daniel Ramon Johnson. I am 17 years old and I am a senior in high school at Our Lady of Christians Academy run by the SSPX. I go to St. Isidore’s Church in Watkins, Colorado, and Fr. Dennis McDonald is the priest there. My reason why I want to go on this trip of a lifetime is because I want to get the graces for my future vocation as a Capuchin Monk in the traditional monastery in France. I would also greatly enjoy visiting the tomb of my monastic father, St. Francis in Italy. Dear potential sponsor, your contribution will be greatly appreciated in such a way, that only by prayer can I express my thanks; that is why I will offer my pilgrimage for you. Sincerely in Christ, Daniel Ramon Johnson (Watkins, Colorado) Needs $900

My name is Alexandra Tschida. I live in Ham Lake, Minnesota, and attend Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. I am really hoping to go on the youth pilgrimage to Rome for it is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Not only are there countless graces to be gained, but it is a trip shared with many other young adults all on a common path, which is very encouraging! The amount need to subsidize my trip would be about $2,000. Thank you! God Bless, Alexandra Tschida (Ham Lake, Minnesota) Needs $1,500

My name is Nicholas Ledbetter. I live in Bennett, Colorado. I attend Mass at St. Isidore’s in Watkins, Colorado. I would like to attend this pilgrimage because this is a once in a lifetime chance, and would help strengthen my faith and hopefully make me a better Catholic. I am the 2nd oldest of eleven and I probably won’t get another opportunity. I need help with the full amount and appreciate anything you can give me. You and your intentions will be in my prayers on the pilgrimage. Thank you and God bless you. Nicholas Ledbetter (Bennett, Colorado) Needs $1,450

I am an eighteen-year-old named Laura Stafki who lives in Oak Grove, Minnesota. I go to Immaculate Heart of Mary chapel in St. Paul. I would love to participate in the Chartres pilgrimage not only to gain the profusion of graces available to its pilgrims, but also to visit the heart of Catholicism, Rome itself. Although I can pay $1,150 myself, I still need that amount from some generous benefactors. Be assured that your intentions and those of your loved ones would be carried in my heart the entire time. Laura Stafki (Oak Grove, Minnesota) Needs $1,400

My name is Melanie Ledbetter and I am the eldest of eleven children living in Bennett, Colorado. I attend the St. Isidore Catholic Church in Watkins where I had heard about the Youth Pilgrimage. I am interested because I have never done a pilgrimage before, it will be a once in a lifetime experience and most importantly I would like to pursue this opportunity for my spiritual welfare. However, I need help with the full amount of money needed for the trip. I thank you in advance for your generosity and will remember you in my prayers. God bless you. Melanie Ledbetter (Bennett, Colorado) Needs $1,450

Rome….! The center of Catholicism and the heart of the Church—and I have been offered a youth pilgrimage to this Eternal City? To me, a senior preparing for college, this is a rare opportunity to actively demonstrate my Faith abroad, walking the road of a pilgrim on the Quest for Happiness. Protestants are militant Christians; should Damian Ballester, a Catholic young man whose mother once had him play at journeying to great European shrines, do anything less? I know this trip is not about sightseeing; it will be a culturally and spiritually enlightening experience that will prepare me to leave the secure world of homeschooling. But, it is beyond my father’s hard-earned savings to fund my fare, and so I pray that if it is God’s Will, He will provide me a generous sponsor. Damian Ballaster (Walton, Kentucky) Needs $2395

My name is Gregory Dailey and I would like to request sponsorship for the 2012 Youth Pilgrimage. I am from Platte City, Missouri and I attend St. Vincent de Paul Church in Kansas City. I would like to go on the Youth Pilgrimage because I think every Catholic should have the opportunity of visiting the Eternal City and what better time to do it than in the middle of my college studies. It can only help enforce one’s faith while constantly fighting against the modern errors that permeate our universities. Any sponsored amount would be graciously accepted. Gregory Dailey (Platte City, Missouri) Any amount

My name is Hilary Dailey and I wish to request sponsorship for the "Youth Pilgrimage" which is to take place in the spring of 2012. As a college student in today's society, I am continuously reminded of the liberalistic mindset of numerous young adults. With such an opportunity as traveling to shrines so dear to my Faith, I humbly ask for financial assistance so that I may offer this pilgrimage primarily for reparation and aid of those lukewarm souls that they may become more aware of God's grace. Thank you in advance for your support! In Christ through Our Blessed Mother, Hilary Dailey (Platte City, Missouri) Any amount

My name is Lizzy Dowd. I attend St. Isidore’s Catholic Church located In Denver Colorado. I want to go on this trip to France because my dad was lucky enough to go when he was my age and seeing all of France and its many shrines and churches has rooted the Catholic Faith in his soul. It as a life changing trip for him and I hope it will be the same for me. I think the trip will cost about three thousand dollars and I have already stared to work to raise the money. I will pray at the shrine for all my benefactors who make this trip possible. Elizabeth Dowd (Denver Colorado) Any amount

My name is Mary Andreski. I am from Loveland, CO. It would be a dream come true to visit the cities that are so full of religious, historical, and cultural importance to our Faith. I believe that I have a vocation to the sisterhood and plan to enter a convent next year. I would like to go on this pilgrimage before then. I need $2395 to be able to go on the trip. Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to meeting you in May. Mary Andreski (Loveland, Colorado) Needs $2,395

I am Samantha Rose Felicity Farrow, will be 19 in March, and I'm from Arizona but my family moved to New Zealand 2 1/2 years ago and so my parents do not have spare money. I attend Our Lady of Sorrows (Arizona) and St. Anthony's in New Zealand. I have no set idea (or finances) in relation towards tertiary study/career, have been on a vocation retreat and an Ignatian retreat, and am still trying to discern my state of life; this is the main intention for this pilgrimage. Samantha Rose Felicity Farrow (Phoenix, Arizona) Needs $2,935

My name is Beth Gerads. I am 18 and from St. Robert Bellarmine parish in St. Cloud, Minnesota. There is little opportunity for pilgrimages, etc. here in Minnesota, and, as I have never been out of the country, I would doubly appreciate the opportunity to go on the 2012 Youth Pilgrimage. I am not sure how much money is needed for the trip, but I am saving for college in St. Mary’s (God willing) and so depend on your generous support in order to go. Be assured of my sincere gratitude and prayers. Beth Gerads (St. Cloud, Minnesota) Any amount

Some pilgrimage details

This coming year we will journey to the Eternal City, which has written much of western history. Likewise, the catacombs, the tombs of saints, the ancient Roman Forum all preserved remain there to tell you their stories.  The chance to go to Rome with a well-organized pilgrimage does not come all of the time, so sign up soon.

We will also be visiting Genezzano, where the image of Our Lady of Good Counsel is miraculously suspended in the air and on the same day visit the cave where St. Benedict retired and eventually founded a monastery at Subiaco.  From here, all of western monasticism arose.

Assisi and Florence will also be day trips for the pilgrimage and have a variety of wonderful churches and holy places to visit, including Florence's Duomo, the fourth largest church in Christendom.  You will even be able to see the original murals of the famous Fra Angelico in the cells of the Dominican monastery of San Marco.

As we did last year, we will finish with the Chartres walking pilgrimage, with thousands of other SSPX Catholics from all over the world.  Although there is no strict age range, any high school student or young adult who is capable of the long walk is welcome to sign up.
